SUMMARY
This project included demolition of approximately 50% of the existing YMCA followed by a complete renovation of the remaining building. The renovated facility included offices to support the YMCA administration, a state-of-the-art exercise facility complete with a swimming pool, short-term housing and program space for various YMCA activities. The demolition was particularly complex since it required that the second building be taken down without damaging the original building, even though the two had been connected on every floor. The renovation also included extensive hazardous materials abatement that was accomplished before the demolition and subsequent renovation could begin. Barbara was the project manager through the design, abatement and demolition processes. She provided her services through Seneca Group. |
